One stop in our "Clermont needs a Cache" series. When this historic community received its first official Post Office, the community's name of Concord Church was not accepted by the authorities. Instead, so the story goes, the town's post office was named...Dip. And here it is, in this small town park, the original log post office structure of Dip, GA. The town retained the name of Dip until establishment as Clermont in 1913.
This cache should be a quick park-n-grab and is NOT on the structure itself. Park hours are posted as 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
