Located on Front Street along the Kennebec River behind the Harlow Gallery in Hallowell. The Order has permission from the property owners to place this cache. The adjacent building owners know about it also. It is at ground level, so please don't climb the deck and scare their tenants!
Replaced the original cache July 2011, new one is in a different location and is a different container.

First of a Hallowell series, this one is placed in honor of the Harlow Gallery. The gallery was founded in 1963,it is owned and operated by the nonprofit Kennebec Valley Art Association.
Closest access to Front Street is by the Wharf at the foot of Central Street.
If you are here on a weekday, stop in and check out the current exhibition -- write your caching name in the gallery visitor log book and let them know the cache is attracting visitors! Hours are Wednesday - Saturday noon to 6pm except when they are installing a new exhibition. Front entrance is at 160 Water Street.
Since we are talking art, don't miss the unique "sculpture garden" behind Brass & Friends Antiques -- from the cache location just two buildings north.
