The cache is a small clip lock box with room for trackables and swaps.
Cache can be reached along a well defined path along the shore. Not suitable for wheelchairs, all terrain pushchairs will be ok.
Please replace as found.
Co-ords should take you to within a couple of feet of the cache.
Parking is easily available at Hamble Point carpark and then just follow the path along the shore
This cache was placed with the very kind permission of Natural England and Eastleigh Borough Council.
This cache was placed in celebration of Grandads everywhere.
In particular memory to Grandad Dove who would have loved his Southern Grandaughters if he had had a chance to meet them.
The cache is best approached from the seaward side otherwise things may get a little prickly. There is a bench nearby to sit and enjoy the view.
Please take time to read the noticeboard 'Hamble Common - The Defence of the Realm' telling some of the history of this area.
We also have another cache nearby 'Having a Blast!!'
At the time of placing this cache contained some small toy cars, a wind up caterpillar, a wind up horse, some colouring pencils and a badge for the FTF.
The cache is also the starting point for our daughters first TB 'Mimi and Bellés Friend'.
Enjoy and Happy Caching.
