Welcome to "The Jackets Nest," home of the Thomas County Central High School Yellow Jackets. This stadium is home th the 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996, and 1997 state football champions. Winners of a dozen region championships, the Yellow Jackets have boasted such great players as Myron Guyton and Danny Copeland, Super Bowl winners with the New York Giants and Washington Redskins respectively. Also our stadium was home to south Georgia's only Heisman trophy winner, Charlie Ward, Jr. who won it while leading his Florida State Seminole team to the national championship in 1993. Our Program has produced many players who have gone on to excel or are currently performing at the college level, including Dontavia Bogan from the South Florida Bulls, and Debrale Smiley and Amp McCloud of Florida State, as well as innumerable all-region players.
