Geocache Description:

WHAT YOU SEEK CANNOT BE FOUND HERE

When the phone was first invented, it was a luxury toy for the very rich but as the decades past, that toy moved from the well-to-do to become a must-have for the masses. Some could argue that the telephone was the first piece of technology to begin shrinking the planet. Now anyone can call any other person anywhere in the world. Not long ago, I received a call from a friend in Africa.

The phone is a staple of the American culture. Currently, about 84% (or 250-million) Americans now are a part of some type of cell phone plan.  You could tell how important phones were to US culture when they began showing up in films, songs and songs.

From adventurous, to romantic or comedic, Films are a reflection of what the U.S. always hoped their lives to could be and the telephone has been a part of them-a trusted friend there to help out.
