Walk the plank Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

lostandfoundmtcz: Cache seems to have been muggled again :(. Will rethink the hide and try to sort out a new container. Thought the smallest possible nano would have kept it safe. Not so this time!

Geocache Description:

Located in an adventure park with a monument disguised as a piece of playground equipment dedicated to the Inverlochy, a merchant ship that ran aground on a reef about 2 miles from the Anglesea beach in December 1902.

All aboard made it to safety at Barwon Heads but half the valuable cargo that included whisky, wire rope, soap, 2 pianos and the captains wife's jewels was lost and still lies at the bottom of the sea.

The park which I have been to many times as a child and now visit with my own family when holidaying at Anglesea, provides great facilities for family BBQ's, fishing, canoeing and mountain biking. Alternately, it is a great place to break the drive down the great ocean road and let the kid roam free for a while.

The park is very popular with families so beware of muggles both large and small!!

Also, no dogs are allowed in the park.

The cache is a nano, so BYO pen (and maybe tweezers to retrieve the log!)

***Please note that the Anglesea river runs right past the playground so be careful with the little ones. Having said that, don't forget to bring something to feed the ducks.
