If you aren't, then come to the Louisburg Cider Mill on
Saturday, November 6th at 7PM for a post-Halloween celebration.
Experience the thrills of a corn maze as you attempt to find five
geocaches. Each one will be tied to a real geocache to be placed in
the Louisburg area.
Want to fully explore the maze? Go right ahead and take your
time twisting and weaving your way from entrance to exit, finding
caches as you go. We'll all be listening for your scream.
Up for a little competition? Be among the first to finish the
maze AND find all five geocaches to earn a chance at the Fearless
Door prize. Details to be provided at the event.
Hungry? A bonfire will be provided and a table set up for hot
dogs and smores (not provided). Please mention in your log if you
will be bringing anything with you. Food is provided as a pot luck
option only.
Up for some more prizes? Come dressed in your best costume and
be voted on by our panel of ghostly judges for a chance to win our
Scares the Devil prize. We'll have two age ranges, with prizes for
each: 0 -- 16 & 17 -- Older then Dirt.
Did you enjoy the sights through the telescope last year? A
telescope will be set up to give views of the heavens to those too
scared to enter the maze. Don't worry, we won't laugh at you if you
don't enter...too much.
Bringing kids? We will be setting up a kids course for all the
young ones in attendance.
Want to help out? We are looking for volunteers in the following
areas:
- Costume Judges (need at least three, no more than five)
Treat Bags This is covered.- Prize Pool - You are welcome to donate if interested. We
already have several prizes that have been donated. The more the
merrier.
We are hosting this event free of charge for you, but donations
will always be accepted to help cover the behind the scenes costs.
Extra donations will be set aside to help fund future KC Area
events.

- 7:00 - Event Start
- 7:30 - Costume Contest Judging
- 7:40 - Door Prizes
- 7:50 (or whenever prizes are done) - Corn Maze Geocaching
- 9:30 - Fearless Door Prize Drawing - first 10 back with the
complete code from the five maze caches
- 10:00 - Event over
- 7:00-10:00 - Eat & social
- 8:00 - 11:00 (at latest) - A Geocacher's Guide to the Galaxy
(telescope)
More details may be provided as time goes on. If you think you
are interested in attending, but aren't sure if you will be, go
ahead and still log a "Will Attend". Due to a newer feature on
Groundspeak, the cache owner (myself) can post "Announcement" logs,
which automatically go out to everyone who has posted a "Will
Attend." An easy way to alert you to any updates to the cache
listing if you don't want to mark this on your watch list.
So bring your flashlight, costume up if desired, and come on
out. We'll see you there, if you aren't too scared.
