Geocache Description:

It's all about the 10s!

Let's celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime (unless you live another century) event with a fifteen-minute flashmob! Meet up on 10-10-2010 at 10:10:10 AM, at Pier 45 near 10th Street and West Street. (It's the closest thing to 10th Avenue!)

Everything is over by 10:25, at which point there's tons of caching to do in Manhattan with Geo-friends new and old!

Meet on Pier 45, at the large canopy at the foot of the pier.

SCHEDULE:

9:50-10:10AM: Gather in the area, but "act cool." Pretend you're a muggle, and don't indicate what's about to happen. Wait until the signal is given --

10:10:10AM: When I place a cache container on the ground and scream "TEN TEN TEN," gather around for the flashmob to begin!

10:10AM-10:14AM: Sign the logbook, which will be passed around. Bring a pen! Mingle with cachers, trade trackables, take pictures, and make plans if you want to cache after the flashmob.

10:14-10:16AM: Assemble for group photo at signal.

10:16AM-10:22AM: Consume the group meal, tortilla chips. Also use this time to act completely insane if you so desire, so as to make muggles think we're more crazy than they already do after six minutes of the flashmob. :)

10:23AM: Prepare to break up the mob.

10:25AM SHARP: Break up the flashmob and continue caching or whatever you planned for today. "Nothing ever happened!"

Directions:

Subway: 1/2 to Christopher St/Sheridan Square; A/C/E to West St/Washington Square; From NJ, PATH to Christopher Street. Then walk west to the water.
