The Fosse Way was a Roman road from Exeter to Lincoln, much of which is still part of the modern road network. The A46 follows the course of the Fosse Way from the southern outskirts of Lincoln to the north side of Leicester. It isn't always as straight as you might expect, but these caches are hidden close to a 5 mile section of extremely straight dual carriageway.
