Another in the velo series. For this one you must find the Rustenburg Kloof Holiday resort and proceed from there. This is an excellent birding spot, look for the Orange breasted bush shrike, Emerald spotted wood-dove and Green pigeons. This is a cross-over region and many unusual birds may be seen here. It is an excellent spot for walking in the western Magaliesberg with some beautiful trees too. Most of the time food and refreshments are available and a variety of small farm animals will fascinate the children. The Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site Magaliesberg Map from AA Maps will add value to your trip.
By bicycle from Rustenburg allow for a return time of 90 minutes and by car less than 1 hour.
