Geocache Description:

Container is located on an unmarked cliff side trail in Talcott Mt. State Park. Parking is available at the end of Summit Ridge Drive. Follow the trail along the western side of the metacomet ridge to the foot of King Philips Cave, be careful of loose rocks near the cliff edge.

The cache is being placed in honor John G Martin of the Hublein Company. He was the inventor on various mixed drinks such as the Moscow Mule. Learn more by visiting Hublein Tower located at the top of the mountain. This also happens to be near King Philips cave where Indian Chief Metacomet(aka King Philip) watched the burning of the town of Avon, or so they say. Plastic container includes notebook and pens. I also included some random items such as foreign coins, pewter samurai figures, a bouncy ball, pancake keychain and piece of coal from the historic carriage house in Farmington.
