Replacing the archived GC9A5B cache (archived due to muggles).
This cache is located about 160 Kms to the south west of Riyadh along a Wadi towards Jabal Baloum and Cathedral Rock.
The site is located in a popular spot commonly known as Fat Mans Squeeze (which is at N 23° 41.544 E 046° 10.673). The name will become obvious once you explore the location.
Directions to the site can be found in the "Desert Treks from Riyadh" book by Ionis Thompson. Please note that since the book was written, a road has been paved up to the village of Baloum (to the south of Jebel Baloum) and this is now your best entry point to the cache area.
The offroad section (about 4km) of the journey can only really be made in a 4 WD vehicle, as the last part of the route is rather rocky and has several patches of sand so take care.
In the area of the cache take a bit of time to look for Saudi Diamonds or once you have found the cache, see how far you get down the squeeze.
Recommendation: If you come to this beautiful area which has 5 caches to find make it a weekend camp out trip as you have a perfect camp site next to cache "GCVPG0_adams-apple"'s first stage or at least start early in the morning if you come only for a one-day trip!
Don't forget your camera.
Drive first to "GC36A1_tuwaiqcache", then stage 1 and 2 of "GCVPG0_adams-apple", then "GC9A09_the-fifth-well-at-4-wells", after this the final of "GCVPG0_adams-apple" and "GC4W9V4_big-baloon" and at last this one "GC2FMZ1_the-fat-mans-squeeze-2".
Open your eyes and you can find a lot of nice fossils (see photo in my log of "GCVPG0_adams-apple" showing a nautilus I found at stage 2 of that Multi ) and enjoy the amazing views.
