HGV's operate in this
area Take Care when on roads in vicinity
I got to wondering one day, How
many lorry drivers are Geocachers ?.... I am one and I know of
another.
I get quite frustrated at not being able to park my 44 ton
Articulated lorry near cache sites, so thought why not put one in a
Truck Stop
Car Parking is available at front of building
The cache is a medium "Lock n Lock Container"
Lockerbie Truck Stop is located 30.4 miles north of Carlisle, which
will take an HGV at 56MPH 41 minutes to cover. It is also 1hr 17
minutes from Glasgow Centre at 56 MPH.
To access the Truck Stop, If you are travelling Northbound on the
M74 take the B7076 north at junction 17 or for southbound drivers
take the southbound B7076 at junction 16 for about a mile plus
perhaps,, passing the Dinwoodie left turn,, after a few hundred
yards the entrance to the Lockerbie truck Stop Transport Cafe &
Lorry Park can be seen on the left hand side. It’s on the
right had side of course for northbound drivers on the B7076.
This cache is called 10-10 till we do it again,.....
Lorry drivers use CB radio to communicate with each other on the
road, one of the short codes we use when at the end of a
conversation is
"10-10 Transmission Completed, Standing
By"
This cache is set to coincide with 10-10 Events to Celebrate 10
Years of caching.
"Congratulations - Follieus - First To Find"
