"Who Let The Dogs Out!" Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

canine cachers: This Cache "Who Let The Dogs Out!" has run its course unfortunately!

... Over the years it appears individuals have started using this area for dumping garbage, bottles etc. The area has become more of a hazzard than when the Cache was first placed in 2010

.... As well the Cache has been muggled several times continually over time and has also become a safety issue for younger geocachers and older ones as well.

It's been fun RUFF! ... Stayed tuned for a possible "Who Let The Dogs Out #2" ... "Canine Cachers Searching out the Cache One Bark at a time!" RUFF

Geocache Description:

We thought that we should have our first hidden cache "Going To The Dogs" and have it near the Sarnia & District Humane Society. This is our first cache in the series of Who Let The ________ Out?

The Sarnia & District Humane Society relocated here from Campbell St. in 1983 and was enlarged by 60% to it’s present size in 2004-2005. The shelter provides several services as well as being a animal shelter. It also provides adoption for these animals, accepts wild animals and birds in distress, has a animal rescue, and provides a animal lost and found to name a few of their services.

The story of this cache is about 8 canines who snuck out of the Humane Society, are hiding out and are now looking to find a new home. They are Dougie, Sammy, Pochee, Blue, Sophie, Patches, Scruffy, Toby and Wiener. Find them and bring them home. This is a small cache with Canine related swag. Bring these guys home! … ON! ON! …RUFF! …and of course it’s a dog friendly cache! NOTE: This is a very busy area at times so be discrete when searching for the cache. Lots of vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Parking is available nearby.

The Cache is a medium sized cache in camouflaged duct tape. Now think like a dog....RUFF! ... This Cache is dedicated to our dog Maxx, a black Portuguese Water Dog who was taken from our home April 16, 2010.
The cache originally contained the following swag...

1 Log Book
1 Pen
1 FTF certificate
9 different breeds of Canines

FTF Congratulations to The 4 Cache-keteersRUFF! ... ON! ON!

NOTE: It appears only Blue and Dougie have escaped!...PLEASE HELP THEM
