Conventional geocache at the side of a well-maintained public footpath.
This cache is easily accessible on foot from Down Hatherley. In our opinion Down Hatherley Lane itself can be a little hazardous to walk along and isn't great for parking either - however it is well connected with off-road footpaths. Caches in this area are surprisingly sparse, but there's a great nearby series along the Gloucestershire & Glevum Ways (GW series).
We believe this can also be reached from the A38 via Broadclose Road or starting from Norton (where apparently there's a pub...) - though we haven't yet tried either.
If arriving by car the best option is probably the waypoint listed below. Thanks for this to I! (who was apparently drawn there under the influence of an evil spirit - don't say we didn't warn you...).
You don't need to enter the fields on either side of the path (very clearly marked private) - approach along the public footpath.
