High Society Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

valsetzpegleg: I haven't been able to get out there. If they have done some construction work in the area, it vary well could have been wiped out. So archive it. This area was officer housing if someone wants to place another cache in the area that might mention that. I'm getting to old to walk that far anymore.

High Society

This area was the Southern Officers Living Area. The Northern Officers Area contained the Officers Club. I am trying to chop a trail into it, but evidently the club was built on concrete piers, as were so many of the buildings, so about the only thing left is the chimney. And no, the officers were not seperated as to being from Confederate or Union states. They were located in the end of the camp that their Division was located in.
If you are interested in finding the officers club try N44*43.122 W123*12.663. Reading John Baker’s book “Camp Adair”, it seems that more than one young officer found a local girl to marry.
