Quatordecimus is latin for fourteenth, and this is my fourteenth hide in this series of caches along the powerline that runs in front of my house.
When I saw how large this tract is, I decided to make this a multi, so as not to waste any of the area. I also love to walk through the woods, and I hope you do, too.
I parked on Lower State Rd. where the powerline crosses. There is a gravel parking area with room for several vehicles. You should then cross the road (look both ways) and follow the mowed path. You will need to switch to a game trail to continue past the golf driving range and into the woods.
There is a hunter's black metal tree stand about 25 yards from where you enter the woods, on the other side from the golf range. I saw 5 other disused, disintegrating wooden tree stands in the woods. Try not to wear a fur coat.
The first stage is a container which I found lying on the ground near Power to the People - Tertiusdecimus. I painted it to blend in and used it, as a good recyclist.
The final stage is a food storage container with some trinkets and a prize for FTF. Enjoy the walk.
