Geocache Description:

This cache replaces GC131ZF which I had to archive because the hiding place was no longer suitable. The cache is a clip-lok box large enough for small swaps and trackables.

Bracklesham Bay is a well known location for fossil hunting. My family have found dozens of shark and ray teeth through the years. They are from the Middle Eocene which is about 50 million years ago. The best place to look is at low tide amongst the fine debris on the waterline while you are paddling along. Don't worry if you can't find any because there are a few examples in the cache but please leave them for others to see.

The nearest parking is in the seafront car park where you will find toilets and a cafe. There is a £2.203charge for 2 hours parking 8am-6pm April-October, or £0.70 November-March (prices as of October 2020). Please do not park in East Bracklesham Drive which is a private road.
