View near the cachesite
I finally got round to finishing the Knapwell loop off with this cache and one other.
This is series of simple(ish) caches along pleasant footpaths near the village of Knapwell around farmland and woodland. This cache is placed at a spot with the interesting name of Battle Gate. The difficulty rating is due to the fact there is a new house nearby and stealth is required - especially in the winter. The series provides lovely views of the countryside.
The short loop is about 2.5 miles long or you can lengthen it by heading towards Childerley (about 4 miles) and pick up a couple more caches.
Watch out for nettles and possibly brambles in the summer months.
The Cache
The cache is a small camouflaged container with a logbook/pencil and room for small swaps or trackables. Please ensure you hide it back securely where you found it.
Stealth may be required down this path as dog walking muggles use it and the nearby house.
The path is fairly stroller friendly although I would suggest the rugged models only. The parking co-ords are for the series as a whole - this can be done as a cache 'n dash but I would suggest you park up a little further up the road so as not to give yourself away and please don't block the narrow road.
