Geocache Description:

Very well camouflaged micro across the street from the new location (in 2010) of Vik's Chaat House, my favorite local place to get a masala dosa. Log only. Bring you own pen. You may also need tweezers to extract the log. Muggles abound, so please have patience and don't compromise the cache location. Please be careful when handling the cache container, one part of it does what it looks like and another part ... does not.

My parents were progressive and raised me as a vegetarian back in the 70s on the east coast. In the late 80s I finally went to an Indian restaurant with them and absolutely loved it -- who knew food could taste sooo good? Most of the Indian restaurants around were "north Indian" style. But there was one where I grew up where the owner had two restaurants next door to each other, and one was south Indian. I loved the cool taste of the coconut chutney, among other things. Years ago I discovered Vik's in Berkeley. You used to have to go on a Saturday afternoon to get a dosa before they closed at 5pm. Now they are open later so you can get dinner any night. The new location is bigger, cleaner, and nicer. I hid this cache as a tribute to one of my favorite eateries. As an added bonus, your young kids will love the trains that go by on the neighboring tracks.

If you find the cache in wet weather, please do your best to keep the inside and the log as dry as possible.

Note that the cache should be easily reachable from a wheelchair.

FTF gets ... bragging rights.

The difficulty rating is related only to the stealthiness of the cache. If you have ever found a cache just like this one before, then it may not be difficult at all.

A note about the cache itself: this is a very stealthy cache that was inspired by a tricky cache I found in the Lake Tahoe area. The last time I was in Oregon, I enlisted my stepfather to make two of these in his workshop. Enjoy!

Congrats to BerkeleyBoomers for FTF.
