This cache is located at what is locally known as Sarah's Grave. A
common destination for youths to visit in the darker hours, as
there is no shortage in the stories of frightful events that occur
to those foolish enough to visit her at night... but Sarah's story
is darker still...
Sarah Marshall was transported to Australia as a convict for the
theft of apparel. Like many convicts of the time she eventually
earned her freedom and took residence. She soon met John Simpson,
and between them had eight children, though were not married.
On her way home one night, Sarah was attacked by a group of men who
brutally murdered her. When her battered and scarred body was
found, John Simpson was utterly devastated.
Sarah Marshall was buried as Sarah Simpson, and it is said that
John married her at her graveside to allow her to pass without sin
into the next life.
A simple two stage multi
Co-ordinates will take you to Sarah's grave. From here a simple
reading of the headstone will reveal all you need.
Find the year of her death, the two middle digits are the last
numbers of latitude.
Find the age she was when she died, this is your last numbers for
the longitude
S33 41.4??
E150 41.8??
This was deliberately made to be an easy walk as I would highly
recommend doing this at night as it certainly adds to the
atmosphere that attracts so many here. As such there's no need for
bush bashing as it's all on well established paths
