Geocache Description:

A mouse took a stroll through the deep dark wood. The mouse saw a cache and the cache looked good..

No-one really knows why my children call this bit of micro woodland just off Anderson Drive (Aberdeen's main ring road) "The Gruffalo's Forest", but call it that they do.

There were trees here but recently the site has been cleared and new saplings planted, so it will again be a micro wood.

One of Aberdeen's hidden gems is just seconds away - carry on down Anderson Drive to the bus stop - there is a small path behind the bus stop that leads to Marathon House where they have a small wildlife garden. Its amazingly peaceful to sit on the bench and have a few minutes to yourself, or take your picnic - you'll quickly forget the amount of traffic thundering past metres away. (My girls, who obviously have their own names for everything, call this "Alderney's Garden".).

One my way to plant this cache I also fell off my new bike for the first time, so that cache is there as a celebration of that too...maybe I should plant a cache near every bike-falling-off incident.

Cache is a film canister and contains some treasures for swapping. Also contains a log sheet and a mini-pencil.

(My co-ordinates can sometimes be not very accurate, would appreciate any that are a bit mroe spot on...)
