Geocache Description:

Calvinator Clean Up recognizes International Coastal Cleanup, Geocaching's CITO (Cache In Trash Out) initiative, and the youngest member of the keds team. This is a short walk on a clear path in a family- and pet-friendly spot. Cache is beyond the viewing area and slightly off the path. Container replaced April 2022 with fresh tradeables, new log with fancy waterproof paper, and the new 'Pink Flipper' Travel Bug. Fairly winter-friendly. Great views year round. Please replace carefully.

International Coastal Cleanup is the signature event of the Ocean Conservancy. Each September volunteers from countries all over the world spend a day picking up everything from cigarette butts and food wrappers to lost fishing nets and major appliances. In 2009, 60 percent of the debris collected and cataloged consisted of single-use, disposable items. CITO (Cache In Trash Out) is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. 'The Calvinator' is the first grandchild in the keds team. He has grown to love the outdoors and can carry his own backpack (at least for part of the way).
