This is a beautiful little preserve meant for viewing adult loons and their babies just outside of the village of Bellaire. It is about 600 feet from the parking area to the cache. The view at the end is beautiful; don't forget your camera for this one!
We've all heard the saying, "While the cat's away, the mice will play." Well, on this day our "mice" were out for the afternoon, so we decided to "play" without them. That was the inspiration for this cache.
In sticking with the name of this cache, we tried to leave cat inspired trade items to start it off.
The first to find can claim a "Silly" prize from the cache and do a "loony" victory dance (something that the Detroit Lions were not able to do on this lazy Sunday afternoon!).
**This popular cache disappeared a while ago. This is the new and maybe improved version. We've found a slightly different location. Here's hoping this "cat" won't roam away again!
