One of my favorite TV shows growing up was called "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" Every week a bunch of kids would sneak out into the woods late at night around a campfire telling ghost stories. This place they gathered at was secret, and until you were initiated by telling a ghostly story, you were blindfolded. I used to have a real fear of being in the woods and getting lost. When it comes to after hours I think being in a group is one thing, but being alone still scares the you-know-what out of me! With Halloween soon approaching I noticed all the local stores are already selling candy and costumes, so I figured it was also time to set out a cache that had a bit of a twist, in light of this upcoming holiday.
This cache is NOT at the posted coordinates, they are fake. However, the cache IS nearby, and ONLY ACCESSIBLE AT NIGHT! If you happen to get lucky and somehow find it during the daylight, that ruins the purpose, so please don't even try.
Somewhere nearby the listed parking coordinates is a trail that can be easily accessed (not the one that crosses the railroad tracks). Follow it a good distance back into the woods. Eventually there will be an illuminated marker that guides you. Keep going, it's as easy as 1-2-3 ("3" is the final).
Beware, this cache is not for those easily frightened. I placed this alone and at night, so "TRY ME!" Do you have what it takes? Are YOU afraid of the dark?????
CONGRATS to my fellow "Monrovians" on FTF cred. You know you'd all be terrified if you were alone instead of in a group
