9.5 miles off of AZ state route 89A. 4WD vehicle, quad or dirt bike recommended. Several unmarked FS roads taken to reach the cache. Finding the correct roads can be a challange and time consumming. Suggest taking an axe or chain saw if trees block the road which is common after winter or wind storms. Road is very slick when wet and there are large water filled pot holes after storms.
The cache is a green and white 50 cal ammo box. It contains a log book and small trinkets. The real prize is the canyon view nearby. There is a faint, short trail that starts just south of the end of the road. It passes between two alligator juniper trees, (one is quite large). The trail is rocky and leads downhill 20 ft or so to a white limestone ledge at the edge of the canyon. Be careful, the trail is rocky and catus are about. There are vertical drops of over a thousand feet. Lat/Lon waypoints are revealed in Hints/Spoiler if you want help finding the roads to the cache.
