It has been a while since I first looked at this cache. I can't find any recent responses about maintaining this cache so for the time being it will be archived and removed from the active cache listings. We are no longer leaving caches stay disabled for extended periods of time.

Groundspeak and the geocaching community appreciate your contributions to geocaching and I hope to see this cache back in operation soon.

If you can get it back up and running in the next week or so contact me to get it re-listed. Otherwise plan to move it slightly and set up a new cache page.

Geocache Description:

Congrats to jamcewen for FTF!

This cache is located in Park Forest Park owned by the Kansas City Parks & Recreation. This park during my childhood was a popular hangout for the local kids for the many trails to ride your bikes on, for playing in the creek rather it be fishing, wading or catching crawdads. The greatest thrill was the big tire swing that was on top of the bluff to the immediate west side of the creek. Sadly where all the old trails and play areas were on the west side of the creek are now houses, but fortunately KCP&R has preserved alot of the area and continues to own this park. This is a pretty easy walk along a really good trail. Access is best from the playground area near NW 75th St. & Autumn. There may be a lot of muggles around the playground and bbq grills and picnic tables, but just walk on through the middle of them or around them and the cache will get you far enough away from romper room that they should not be much of an issue. Cache has been placed with permission from KCP&R North District. FTF will find George Washington waiting for them. Container is big enough for trackables as long as they are not too large.
