Geocache Description:

TeamBulldawg at it again....

Shellie W. Parrish was born in Berrien County, raised his family in Berrien County, and lived his entire life in Berrien County until his passing on June 20, 1970. As a young man he became one of the largest farmers in Berrien County. He was a very successful farmer, but he was humble and charitable; and although he was encouraged by friends and neighbors, he never sought public office. But he was always a leader and a pillar of his community; and it is fitting and appropriate to honor Shellie W. Parrish for his exemplary life and service as a husband, father, and citizen of Berrien County with the naming of the SR 37 bridge on the Willacoochee River in his memory. This cache is placed on the west side of the bridge named in his honor. It is located on Highway 37 prior to going into Berrien County if you are coming from Adel. There is a paved pullout on this side of the area. As with all of our hides it will take some thought on this one as it is small. You seek a small container in a different style of camouflage than what we have used in the past. It unscrews from the end. As you look over the expanse of rocks with despair, don't get shell-shocked. You won't be if you remember these helpful hints. First and foremost, count back 7 vertical rail supports from the end of the bridge and walk straight down. Look for a very large rock that is different in color than the rest. When you finally figure it out be careful in "removing" the cache as it could fall down into the rocks never to be recovered. Place cache back as careful as you can so the next hunter will be as shell-shocked as you were. Have Fun as it should be pretty easy!!! BYOP!!! Congrats to Jest91 for FTF!!!!!
