Geocache Description:

How many times have you arrived at the location of a cache, and you knew—YOU KNEW—just by looking, that it was going to be “another one of THOSE caches”? Well, NOT this time!

This is #9 in a series of local geocaches designed to RE-stimulate the weary caching senses you had the first time you went out looking for these little treasures—before they became so common. Each cache is hidden for those of you who want to sharpen your geo-noggins, and don’t want to spend hours on a stark, grueling hunt-n-find (such as those dreaded ivy caches). Each cache name contains 3 initials—an abbreviated description of the TYPE of cache you are looking for (“C” always stands for “Cache”)—and should help you when you get to the cache location. Everything else is pure geo-sense.

No additional hints should be necessary, except this: DON’T EXPECT THE OBVIOUS! Oh, and have fun!

Who would’ve guessed that the world’s most famous feminine feline would turn out to be a rather plain Japanese line drawing? Who could have predicted that gross sales of her commercial products would surpass $1 billion annually? Who might’ve known that products depicting her two-dimensional expressionless face would include dolls, stickers, greeting cards, clothes, accessories, school supplies, dishes, calculators, guns, MP3 players, watches, credit cards, cameras, cell phones, motor oil, jewelry, guitars, wines, a wide assortment of home appliances, and even a jet airplane? Who thought that this simple kawaii character would someday carry her own television show, star in her own video game, brand her own record, inspire her own restaurant and hospital, and become the hostess supreme at 2 of her own official theme parks? Who figured that she would become the perpetual U.S. children's ambassador for UNICEF?

Well, I’m not sure, but it was probably inevitable that SOMEONE would use her to create a cache. In fact she has over 50 caches themed after her, of which I have found a few. The problem is that her containers are not always waterproof, and she often sports soggy logs.

In this significantly altered container, I have tried to eliminate the possibility of water ruining her cache-hosting presence. So whether you’re a child or not, I hope you enjoy finding this popular playful pussycat. And when you do, smile and say, "Hello Kitty!"
