Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Mudpie Motel.

Located on NM 14 the Turquoise Trail, just slightly north of I40, this is the perfect place for an overnight stay of your long-distance travel bugs and other trackables.

This is a quick park and grab cache. From I40, coming either direction, take the exit for NM 14, Turquoise Trail. Head north on NM 14. Just a short distance, slightly over 1/10 of a mile, you will see Torres Trail to the West. Turn there and pull into the turn-around area on your left. You have arrived at the Mudpie Motel! Follow your GPS just a short distance from there.

Cache is a large camouflaged plastic container, about the size of a shoebox, that is filled to the brim with SWAG goodies. Be sure to take toys for the kids; that's what they are there for.

Travel Bugs and other trackable items are welcome. Due to the close proximity to I40, they are sure to travel far from here.

The turn-around area is plenty large enough for a truck and trailer, possibly an RV. It may be muddy at times however if there has been a heavy rainshower.

As with all of New Mexico, watch out for snakes and cacti. Also some broken glass in the area.
