IEEE Day is a global event in early October that recognizesIEEE members — past, present and future — on the anniversary of the first time IEEE members gathered to share their technical ideas in 1884.
The cache is placed somewhere that will help you appreciate the contributions these men and women have made to our modern life. To find the location of this geocache you’ll have to find the answers to some easy questions. One of the things you will learn is that the IEEE has carved the world up into geographic regions. In every region a geocache will be placed. In every geocache of this series a code will be hidden. You will need to recover all these codes to find the bonus cache.
Please do not post the codes in your log or anywhere else. Don’t share the code with everyone, but try to form an international geocaching team and work together to find the location of the bonus cache. This cache is about sharing ideas, working together and forming global networks, just like IEEE!
Today, the organization's scope of interest has expanded into so many related fields, that it is simply referred to by the letters I-E-E-E (pronounced Eye-triple-E).
