This cache is placed near the Church of the Good Shepherd in Tidnish, NS. Please be respectul of the surroundings. I thought a cache was needed here to bring awareness to the significance of this little church to the area and the Chignecto Marine Transport Railway.
This quaint little church was built in 1892 to satisfy the need of a place of worship for the workers on the Chignecto Marine Transport Railway. The wife of Henry Ketchum, Sarah, participated in the laying of the Cornerstone on July 13th 1892. For some additional history, click on the Related Web Page link above. Enjoy!
