Geocache Description:

The above coordinates are not for the cache, but for the gates at the front of College Hall, Royal Air Force College, Cranwell. The cache is on a Public Bridle way and can be approached from either North or South.

The Royal Air Force College, Cranwell is built on a site which was originally used by the Admiralty in World War I for an aeroplane and airship station. The College was opened in 1920 and for some years, temporary buildings were used.
The design for College Hall was based on Sir Christopher Wren’s Royal Hospital in Chelsea. The foundation stone was laid in 1929 and the building was first occupied in 1933. In the dome, 130 feet up, is a light which is registered with Trinity House. In the early days it could be seen over 30 miles away, though the modern light is not so powerful. It is the most inland registered lighthouse.

The cache is hidden within two miles of the gates (GPS-wise!). The following numbers will help you to find it.
5665 28 843 8379 34778 564 63 687 27244833 22243 24728487 9484688 28677
The ¾ litre klip-lock box is in a camo-bag, and has a log-book, pencil, some swaps, and a present for the First to Find.
