This cache is located in Saugeen township, along an old rail bed that is used for ATV travel, snow mobiles, horses and bicycles. It is level and mostly dirt with some vegetation and gravel down the middle.
THE CACHE
GZ is a very short walk from the trail access point on SD RD 18/19, and is off trail by several feet. Somewhere between some signs, you must navigate down a slight slope towards the cache. As luck would have it, here, under the canopy of large old trees, you will discover that your GPS may go wonky and GZ will jump and spin around. Enjoy the hunt but watch out for vertigo! Container is a dark cylinder aprox. 6" long
NOTE: I have noticed that sometimes there is only 1 sign, and sometimes the most eastern sign is moved up to 20 feet closer to the west gate...that fooled me one year during maintenance.
PARKING
Parking is available during 3 seasons at the access point, but along the roadside, as far over as you can manage, and north or south of the trail entrance. Don't fall into the ditch! Please leave some room for the ATVs to pass by. In winter the wall of plowed snow will probably block any safe parking, although the cache will still be available to be found easily.
ATTRACTION: child friendly...peaceful walk on a shaded trail...great old trees
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PEN...the pencils have been known to grow legs and escape!
PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF WHERE YOU ARE RETRIEVING THE CACHE CONTAINER FROM, AND RETURN IT TO THE EXACT LOCATION TO PREVENT MIGRATION...IN THIS CASE, HANGING UP
