Heroes of Rian Reach 3000 Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hoosier Ranger: Sad to say, but on the way back from a geobike ride this morning I decided to archive this one. [:(]It's been up for 14 months, but only 9 finders, the last one being almost a year ago. I guess it was just too hard, although I didn't think so. At least it opens up some space in this saturated area. I took the container.

Geocache Description:

This is to celebrate FamilieRyan's 3000th geocache find. Although the Ryan Family are not celebrities like Nolan and Meg Ryan, they are now celebrities in the world of geocaching.

The Ryan family name is found chiefly in the Munster counties of Tipperary and Limerick in Ireland. It is an Anglicized form of Old Gaelic "O'Maoilriain." "Maol" is related to the Welsh "mail," meaning "hero." The second element, "rian" is believed to come from an old Irish word for "water," thus connecting the name with the cult of a water deity. Thus "Heroes of Rian" or "Worshippers of Rian."
