It's the Ride, Not the Hide: Buckskin Branch Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

tbone34: Evidently this was just a waste of a decon container so picked it up after salvager and eridge found it. No idea what happened to the coin. Only other names on the cache log were Rasmussen and Wandering Willys and I was with salvager and eridge when they walked that crazy long 300' to get to the cache. Oh well, the view from here is great!

Geocache Description:

Another in the ITRNTH series. Buckskin Road (ish). Rarely travelled because it's a nice ride, but leads to no true destination. However, there are some great places to stop along the way and the end result is beautiful.

Wanted to share another road/trail for others to enjoy. Take the Buckskin exit and stay to the right if you are on a motorized vehicle...or hike the 3rd Fork trail from the bottom or start at the outhouse off of Deadline and enjoy the walk. Cache is stocked with plenty of items and fair trade is expected. Just for fun, there is a bag with one "buck" in change in the cache consisting of 2 quarters, 3 dimes, 3 nickels, and 5 pennies. Please do not take the bag, but if you are inclined to play along, make change in a different way for the buck (as this is a branch of Buckskin Road) and post your banking skills. Along with the buck there are plenty of adhesive bandages should you skin yourself looking for the cache.

If riding a motorized vehicle, you will come to a point that you will need to park and walk a few hundred feet.. It is very obvious as you will have tied into the walking trail.

4 rating is due to the fact that you will either be making a major hike (although on a well-travelled trail) or riding through some tight spots through buckbrush on your ATV or motorcycle.
