Three sisters Boabab Traditional Cache

Large Boabab tree that grows on a small island created by termites.
the tree estimated 1500 years old.
The island is accessible by boat in the flood season of the Okavango delta, Between end March and beginning September. The rest of the year the island is accessible my Mekoro which is a traditional style canoe that s used by the local people of the delta for transport.
The tree found here is estimated to be 1500 years old and still growing strong. the base of the tree is extra large due to there being three trees growing from the same point.The container is a small plastic box containing a logbook and a photo.
