The Blue Lagoon is a very unusual but striking feature hidden in the middle of a disused Quarry that is very popular with Rock Climbers. The colour of the water is turquoise this is because of the excessive natural amount of Lime that dissolves with the water as it drains down the Quarry into this basin.
The water is very high in alkalinity and not suitable for swimming, bathing or for consumption.
The cache is placed just to the right of the main footpath up a very steep climb. Although I would not recommend that this is suitable for Children my 14 year old Son and 6 year old Daughter did manage the climb the difficulty here is because of the decent on the way back
WARNING!!!!! :There are shear drops here and would not advise suitable for children of a young age.
