Geocache Description:

A very well hidden container amongst the Austral grass–tree understorey and woodland in the Holey Plains State Park.
PLEASE NOTE: This Park has been assessed to have a high level of bushfire risk and will be closed for public safety on days of Code Red (Catastrophic) Fire Danger Rating.
Access to GZ is along Chessum road, Jacks track and then a 50 metre walk from the road.
THERE IS NO NEED TO DAMAGE THE NATIVE VEGETATION.

The Holey Plains State Park covers an area of 10,638 hectares and is best accessed from Rosedale via the Willung – Rosedale Road and then the Rosedale – Stradbroke Road (which are sealed). Once in the park a network of sandy roads and tracks offer opportunities to explore the park, with some tracks being narrow and winding, and sometimes sandy with steeper grades.
The park is of interest because of its native flora and fauna, all protected by a series of low sandy ridges.

Numerous species of frogs can be heard in the many swamps within the park. Swamp Wallabies, Emus and Echidnas can often be seen, especially on the edge of tracks and firebreaks. Night life includes Ringtail Possums, wombats, Owlet-Nightjars and bats. Birds are abundant.
The park contains over 530 species of plants which makes it one of the most floristically diverse parks in Victoria. Common Eucalyptus includes stringy barks and peppermints. Other common plants are Saw Banksia's, tea-trees, bush peas, wattles, heaths and 25 species of orchids.

Drives which are particularly scenic are West Boundary Track, Long Ridge track, Wildflower Track, Jacks Track, South Boundary track, and Merrimans Creek.

A number of walking tracks also exist throughout the park, particularly near Holey Hill and Harriers swamp.
Another unique FTF certificate awaits the lucky first to find.
