Toivalan taistelua käytiin Suomen sodan aikana 18. kesäkuuta - 29. syyskuuta 1808 välisenä aikana Kuopion pohjoispuolella Toivalassa jonne eversti Johan August Sandelsin johtamat ruotsalaiset joukot olivat asettuneet puolustusasemiin Toivalansalmen pohjoisrannalle. Toivala battle took place in a war in Finland during the 18 June - 29 September 1808 in the north-Kuopio, at Toivala, where Colonel Johan August Sandels led the Swedish troops who were stationed in defensive positions in the north shore of Toivalansalmi.
