This is the 1st of 4 caches to be placed along this walk We were at an Event a little while ago and MMelb (Geo-junior) wondered how people came up with their geocaching team names, (ie) he was MULLING over your name, so when you log this cache you are most welcome to explain the story behind your geocaching team name! Don't worry how long your log is - we LOVE reading long logs!!! Go on............ everyone will love to read the logs!
So here's the background to our very BORING Team Name .... lol We were introduced to caching by pprass about 5 years ago (2005) when we bumped into them near Halls Gap (pprass is GMelb's brother's wife's uncle) but didnt start back then because GPS's were quite expensive and so each January G&MMelb would do some caching with pprass down near Cape Patterson when they went to visit GMelb's brother and family who holiday down there every Dec/Jan. It's a wonder we weren't put off for life that day as when following the prass's we became bogged and they had to tow us out! But we were having a ball and after our car was rescued and back on firmer ground we just jumped into their car for the rest of the arvo! Lol
At our niece's birthday party in June 2009 we spoke to pprass again and we became quite interested when he said that GPS's were a lot more reasonably priced now. He gave us the details of the GCA forum and a few days later JMelb descovered she had lost the serviette with the details of the GPS on it AND pprass's email addy!!!!! So she decided to look up the GC and GCA websites and found out she needed to join up and needed a username. RIGHT AWAY!! She remembered that pprass team wished they had a name that reflected both of them rather than just P prass and so she typed in GJM (our first initials) ............ and then asked G&M what the rest of the name should be - the best they could come up with on the spot was "Melb" and so the boring name of GJMMelb was born lol So what is the story of YOUR Caching name????? I bet it's more interesting than ours!!!!! Now to the cache .....
Have fun finding it and once found please be very gentle with it :-) When replacing the cache please ensure to include all the current camo/covering and that it is replaced in position completely. Thanks :-) There is an unactivated FTF GC coin as the FTF Prize along with the usual swaps etc JMelb and a different walking friend used to walk along this lovely track once a week before she had MMelb, so we hope you enjoy this track too. You can walk along the track up to Reynolds Road which is what we used to do (2km) or even up to Tindalls Rd (3.4km) if you wish. (We never did THAT!!! lol) Please note that GZ is close-ish to Mullum Mullum Creek so please be aware of where the children are at all times!! :-)
CONGRATULATIONS to hazey1 for the FTF !!!
