This year CoC will be from Friday 10th June until Sunday 12th June 2011 and we will be camping at Forgewood Camping Site

Forgewood is an ancient woodland situated in the High Weald on the Eridge Park Estate. The Estate itself was created by William the Conqueror when he gave the land to his brother Odo. The Nevill family inherited the estate in 1448. It is the current Marquess of Abergavenny who is offering camping on the Estate.

Camping at ForgeWood is about getting back to nature and enjoying camping the old way. There are no Caravans or electrical hookups, just the basics needed to make it a real break from the technocrazy world we live in. There are mains connected toilets and hot showers, but apart from that you make your own space, light your own fire, build your own shelters and give your kids the chance to run free in the woods. The site can supply Fire Grills and various essential open fire cooking equipment, for people to either hire or purchase. The site is also ordering Venison from the Eridge Estate for this year, so they will have a selction of local venison sausages, burgers and steaks.

The cost of the camping is as follows

* For adults the charge is £12.50 per night per adult.

* The site offers a reduction for families which is £10.00 per adult and £5.00 for each child over three. (Adults are classed as all those over 16)
