The ABCs of Geocaching: V is for Virtual
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Every once in a while it is time to return to the basics of geocaching. The ABCs of Geocaching series will test you on your basic skills and maybe stretch you a little bit as well.
V is for Virtual. This is one of several cache types which are no longer available for creation on Geocaching.com. A virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Virtual caches have no cache container; the reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit. Virtual caches are now considered waymarks.
Since virtual caches are no longer permitted as official geocaches, I have hid a micro cache at this location. Extra 'Virtual' credit will be given if you answer the following questions about this location (in email form of course and not a requirement for logging the find):
What date was the statue erected?
What date was it renovated?
What date was the flag pole donated?
What is the name of the sculptor?
How many names are on the scroll?
