If you're like me, you like to start a caching hike off on the right foot -- which means instant gratification. This one should do it for you.
The cache is close to the trailhead located just down the road from the intersection of Route 20 and Newgate Road. You can also park at the trailhead.
The container is the size of a paintball container and it can hold a log book and small trade items.
The terrain here is steep and rocky. Be careful with your footing, not recommended for little ones.
Benchmark hunters should continue north on the blue Metacomet trail. There are a few benchmark and reference disks at the popular overlook on the trail. These are near the New-Gate Copper Cache.
