Geocache Description:

A decent sized micro, containing log, please bring your own pencil. Sorry, no room for pencil or swaps this time.

The original large cache disappeared so we have replaced it with a smaller one which is still under a mossy stone. This cache is very close to the road still and there is enough of a path down now that it could be done as a slightly adventurous drive-by, with the fencing in it's current condition. There has been a lot of disturbance to the ground recently caused by the repairs to the path so we have nestled the cache under the stump of a once sizable sycamore tree. A suitable place to sit and sign the log. The Baitings dam circular is a set of caches that form a pleasant, but sometimes muddy, walk around the dam. If you are in a hurry you could get round them all in an hour, but it is worth taking your time and enjoying the walk. The first. second and fifth of them are wheelchair access-able, the rest aren't. At the time of placing the route as a variable feel to it. The southern side of the dam is a walk through pleasant woodland, while the north side has recently had its trees harvested and offers a more open view of the reservoir and its surroundings. Thanks to Yorkshire Water for their kind permission to place these caches, and their help with all the caches we have placed on their turf. ...FTF goes to bluewhitereg. Thanks to all who seek the cache.
