Geocache Description:

Every once in a while it is time to return to the basics of geocaching. The ABCs of Geocaching series will test you on your basic skills and maybe stretch you a little bit as well.

W is for Waypoint. A waypoint is a reference point for a physical location on Earth. Waypoints are defined by a set of coordinates that typically include longitude, latitude and sometimes altitude. Every geocache listed on the geocaching website is a waypoint. Geocaching.com generates a unique "GC Code" associated with every geocache listing.

This geocache will require you to visit one waypoint to gather information for the final waypoint - the actual geocache location.

Using the information from the sign at the posted coordinates:
Year covered bridge was constructed = ABCD
Length of bridge = EFG
Width of bridge = HJ
# of years the bridge spanned the river = KL
Year bridge was torn down = MNPQ

Final cache location: N 38° EJ.GEG W 078°L(C-2).D(P-1)F

GPS coordinates will bounce around a lot at this cache. You do not need to go into the road, down to the river, or into the neighbor's property to retrieve this cache. In fact, the cache can be retrieved from the sidewalk. Please be very cautious about nearby muggles.
