Geocache Description:

This cache requires your powers of observation as you enjoy a scenic stroll. A micro-size match canister is hidden in the parkland surrounding the waters of Lake Victoria in Stratford. Take a walk around one of the prettiest parkland settings in Ontario and find the clues for the mystery numbers below from information posted on the commemorative benches which are all close by the path.

A walk around the lake between the William Hutt Bridge and the Festival Bridge (in either direction) takes about 30-40 minutes. Along the way you will probably encounter many swans, geese and ducks, but, as well, you will see the many metal benches commemorating milestones of life for citizens of Stratford. Locate the eight benches of people who have touched our lives, glean the critical numbers from the clues, and determine the location of the final cache. There is heavy muggle traffic at times, so stealth mode is vital as is re-placing the cache container to its correct hiding place with covering, if possible. The coordinates posted at the top for this cache bring you to the first park bench. These are not the coordinates for the final cache site. Parking is available virtually anywhere around the lake. Answer the following questions and add up the numbers from the clues for the final three digits of the North 43 22.____ and West 80 58. ____ coordinates: North clues: 1. Last two digits of the year that Jack and Anneli W. celebrated their golden anniversary plus the number of the day of the month they married. 2. Peter and Vera C.’s anniversary number in 2004. 3. The last two digits of the birth year of Jennifer T. 4. Number of people who remember Reid Sidwell, plus 203. West clues: 1. Lloyd and Nancy R.’s anniversary number commemorated with their plaque. 2. The house number on William Street where the Smith Family lived. 3. Total number of letters on “Lover of Life” Yvonne’s plaque. 4. Number of letters in Gaelic expression for Lynn B., plus 18. Cache contents when hidden: Log book Pen/pencil Coins of the world Assorted city pins British Flag geo-pin Geocoin – Bad Hair Day For Medusa Christmas Gnome Geocoin TH coffee card for the FTF, enjoy!
