This cache is part of a nationwide geocaching series called "Cache to Eagle" that showcases these special contributions. This particular project was the work of Greg C. of Troop 261 in Farmingdale. With the help of his Scout buddies & other volunteers, the 42 year old Kiwanis Fishing Bridge nearby was stripped of its old planks and had the paint scraped off its railings and frame. New treated planks were laid & screwed down & it got a new coat of paint. Please go check it out just down the road.
You are looking for a lock-n-lock that's a short bushwack off the trail - USE THE SUGGESTED TRAILHEAD. Few thorns here but long pants suggested. Watch out for the poison ivy! Please tread lightly over the flora.
Over its first 100 years, Scouting has provided millions of hours of service to communities across America. For our 100th Anniversary, we’re celebrating that legacy with special service opportunities through "A Year of Celebration, A Century of Making a Difference." You can join us, and even earn a commemorative patch! Visit Scouting.org/100years to learn more.
THIS IS OPTIONAL!
IT’S OPEN TO ALL GEOCACHERS –NOT JUST SCOUTS!
This is just one of twelve caches in the "Cache to Eagle" series placed by the Theodore Roosevelt Council. Each cache contains a keyword. Write down the keyword on the inside cover of the log book. When you have the keywords from all twelve "TRC, Cache to Eagle" caches, send an email to get your patch. While supplies last.
