I lived in Calaveras
County for a couple years back in the mid nineties and one of my
fondest memories was passing these two guys every Wednesday on my
weekly Murphys Creek Beer delivery run to Bear Valley. These
stately redwoods are encountered upon driving around a corner on
all-weather Highway 4. I always get a feeling they are welcoming me
to the beauty of the High Sierra and the wonderful adventures that
await.
