Geocache Description:

Our second traditional cache placed in Halsdon. The cache is placed in Halsdon Woods. There is some tree cover here so the GPS may be a bit sketchy. Halsdon Woods is owned by the Devon Wildlife trust and has a range of walks available.

The shortest walk to the cache is when you park in the Ashwell Car Park (North Entrance). You need to go thru a small field to pick up the path. At times there are cows in this field. Also the field the cache is hidden in does also have cows in at times. When you reach the cache site, please take the time to sit on the bench and take in the views. Once you have found the cache, why not keep on walking along the path to the river, were if you are lucky you might be able to see some otters or even a King Fisher. If you follow the white route you will be able to retrieve our other cache, ‘Halsdon Woods Walk’. This cache has been hidden with the permission of the Devon Wildlife Trust. Please obey the signs and shut all gates behind you, and keep dogs on leads. For more details about Halsdon Woods, please visit Halsdon Woods , were you can download a guide to the reserve.

Replaced with a smaller container 50ml tube. Only room for very small items now.
